shipping & returns
Shipping:
Please expect 2-4 Business Days for order processing and an additional 1-3 business days for delivery.
If you require expedited shipping, we can try to assist in upgrading the shipment but may not be able to guarantee a faster delivery.
When your shipping label is created, please allow 24-48 hours to see an update on tracking information. If you don't see movement after 2 business days, please reach out so that we may further investigate.
We are not responsible for replacing or refunding items that are not delivered/misdelivered although we do our best to assist in tracking it down, should this occur. This is why ensuring your delivery address is secure and valid is crucial when placing online orders.
Returns or Exchanges:
Refunds are accepted within 7 days and include a 10% restocking fee.
A restocking fee can be waived if return is processed via store credit on a gift card that can be used in-store or online.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. This includes perfumes, room sprays, and other spray products being unsprayed, candles being unlit, and all applicable products in the cellophane plastic wrap in which they came. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Because of the nature and influx of fake perfumed products flooding the market, all returned orders will be thoroughly inspected to ensure they are the authentic items that were shipped to the customer. If any numbers, serials, barcodes, etc. give reason to believe the returned products are inauthentic, the return will be denied. We are authorized sellers of all brands that we carry and we receive stock directly from brands and distributors, meaning all shipped stock is 100% authentic.
Online returns will be subject to submission of photo/video evidence prior to processing a return.
To start a return, you can contact us at contact@thescentroom.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 3699 McKinney Ave. (Ste #301) Dallas, Texas 75204. Please note: If return labels are misspelled or generally shipped incorrectly to the above address, we cannot guarantee a refund. Items need to arrive at the above address in the same condition in which they were received by the customer, and in the timeframe allotted, for the return to be processed.
After the return has been approved, the customer will have the option to purchase a label from a carrier of their choosing or we can provide one and deduct it from the total refund.
Due to the fact that we offer purchase of samples both in-store and online to ensure satisfaction with a scent, we have to be very firm on our return/exchange policy. We are a small business and we simply cannot incur the cost of returns.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
